Welcome to The Crown and Half Crown Public House and Guest-house, a proper Hackney local with two sides to explore and plenty of character.
Walk into The Crown and you’ll find the buzz straight away. Pints flowing, laughter around the bar, and the kind of easy Irish craic that can turn one drink into a few without much effort.
From there you can wander into The Half Crown, where Thursdays bring a lively pub quiz and Fridays fill up with live music and good company.
You might end up outside in Pint Alley, our favourite little spot tucked between the two. It’s a great place to stand with a pint, chat away, and see where the evening goes.

Discover The Half Crown, a lively corner of the pub that’s quickly become a favourite around Hackney. It’s got that proper pub feel with a bit of energy about it. Fridays bring DJs and a full house, while during the week there’s a pub quiz, bingo, and plenty happening to keep the evenings interesting.The taps are well looked after too, with a great run of beers and what we reckon is the best Guinness this side of the Thames. Add a bit of music, good company, and plenty of craic and you’ve got yourself a place people tend to linger.
